Our company experienced strong growth right before COVID-19, but the crisis negatively impacted restaurant sales. This situation has put Mayrand under considerable financial pressure and forced the company to pause its expansion plan, in which significant investments had already been made.

 

Mayrand has filed a notice of intention under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) to seek protection while we work to improve our financial situation. This process aims to restore our stability while ensuring the continuity of our operations.

 

Our four locations, in Anjou, Brossard, Laval, and Saint-Jérôme, remain open and fully operational. All our employees are retaining their positions. Our products and services will continue to reflect the same quality you’ve always associated with Mayrand.

 

This process does not affect our retail operations, which remain strong and profitable. Rather, it reflects the economic challenges faced by many Quebec businesses, particularly in the restaurant industry, which was hit hard by the pandemic.
