A history rooted in Quebec since 1914
Since 1914, Mayrand Entrepôt d'Alimentation has been helping Quebecers with their daily food needs, offering a unique selection of fresh, local and international products. Our mission is to be an expert in food distribution, owning stores to serve our hotel, restaurant and institutional customers throughout Quebec, simply, quickly and with customized solutions.
With over 350 passionate employees, Mayrand Entrepôt d'Alimentation is proud to be an independent, Quebec-based player, firmly established in several regions thanks to its 4 stores (Anjou, Brossard, Laval, St-Jérôme). For over 40 years, we have been working with local producers to develop complete culinary solutions for our partners in the restaurant, hotel and institutional sectors.

Our story has accelerated over the past 5 years
In 2018, the Mayrand store, which had moved 2 years earlier from Metropolitan Boulevard to Anjou along the A25 North, adopted the Mayrand Entrepôt d'Alimentation brand.
The Mayrand company, founded by a Quebec family, has been based in Montreal since 1914. In 2019, the banner affirms its unique concept of a store specializing in food and small equipment for food professionals, open to the public without a membership card.

Our history at a glance
1914
Opening of the first Mayrand market
Louis-Georges Mayrand opens his grocery store in Montreal, laying the foundations for a family business rooted in Quebec tradition.
1968
Development of distribution
Mayrand develops distribution, importing and wholesaling, which become the core business for several decades.
1994
Arrival of Mr Daniel Le Rossignol
The company welcomes new leadership, marking a real strategic turning point in its development and expansion.
1998
Alimplus begins expansion on the island of Montreal
Sales and distribution activities begin to expand in the greater Montreal area.
2016
Store moves to Anjou
Mayrand moves from Métropolitain Boulevard to a larger, more modern space along the A25 North in Anjou.
2019
Acquisition of AOF by Alimplus
Expansion of Alimplus' activities in the professional food sector while redefining new success models.
2020
Launch of the Mayrand Plus brand
Creation of Mayrand Plus, a complete and specialized offering for food professionals.

Opening of two new branches

Branch opening in Saint-Jérôme
On April 7, 2021, Mayrand opens its 4th branch in Quebec, in Saint-Jérôme, continuing its major expansion in the Montreal region.
2025
New strategic direction
Mayrand Plus is acquired by Groupe Colabor, allowing Mayrand Entrepôt d'Alimentation to focus on its development and expansion in Quebec.
